The Department of State Services (DSS) is said to have seized an amount exceeding N580 million from Abdulrasheed Bawa, the immediate past Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who had been suspended from his position.
Abdulrasheed Bawa was detained by the DSS in June, shortly after President Bola Tinubu indefinitely suspended him over allegations of misconduct and abuse of office. He has remained in custody since that time.
Sources, as reported by SaharaReporters on Friday, October 20, indicated that “Over N580 million has been retrieved from the incarcerated former chairman of the anti-graft agency, EFCC.”
