Sunday Damilola Christiana, a woman from Owo, Ondo State, is currently battling for her life in a hospital after a vicious machete attack by her boyfriend of three years, Kehinde Olanipekun.
The incident unfolded on Monday, October 2, when Kehinde paid a visit to Damilola’s residence after she had informed him of her decision to end their relationship due to his abusive conduct.
In a fit of rage, he launched a brutal machete assault on her, inflicting deep and severe cut on her head, face, arms, thighs, and various other parts of her body.
Upon hearing her cries for help, neighbors rushed to Damilola’s apartment. However, the attacker threatened them with the machete before locking her inside and fleeing the scene.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at Adelabu Hospital in Owo, Ondo State.
