A sad incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday when a Dunamis church suddenly collapsed.
The church is situated in Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State.
Eyewitnesses reported that this tragic event occurred while four individuals were engaged in a prayer session inside the church premises.
Regrettably, it resulted in the loss of lives, including that of the resident pastor. Several nearby residential buildings and electrical infrastructure suffered damage due to the collapse.
The real cause of this incident is yet to uncovered.
Anene Sewuese Catherine, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, confirmed that she had not yet received information about the incident. However, police personnel from the C Division, North Bank, quickly mobilized and were on the scene, collaborating with emergency response teams to provide assistance.
