Nigerian queen of tracks Tobi Amusan, has once again, emerged top in the 100m hurdles at the Diamond League in Eugene, Oregon, US.
This feat was achieved yesterday. This is her third consecutive Diamond League trophy.
She became victorious in the event after finishing in 12.33 seconds to ward-off Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quin in 12.38 seconds.
Her first victory came in 2021, when she made history with her first Diamond League Trophy, clocking 12.42 seconds. She later went on to achieve similar feat in 2022 in a record time of 12.29 seconds in Zuric.
Her latest feat comes months after the Nigerian was suspended for doping violations by the Athletics Integrity Unity (AIU). According to the AIU, she had missed three tests in 12 months. But she was cleared of any violations, just three days before the 2023 World Athletics Championships where she stood high by clinching the coveted the title.
