The Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has debunked rumours of being threatened via messages after her meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja on Tuesday.
Her Media Adviser, Mr Paul Nwabuikwu, said, “The statement is false. It is not from Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.”
Okonjo-Iweala also dismissed the statement as false in a tweet on Wednesday night. “It has just been brought to my attention that there is a false statement circulating on what’sApp attributed to me saying that I am being attacked for my visit to President Tinubu. That statement circulating is false, In fact, wickedly false designed to create mischief among Nigerians. Please disregard the statement.”
