Popular investigative journalist, David Hundeyin has called out Nigerian Christians who doubt the act of selflessness.
“Always funny when I run into Nigerians who assume that I must be lying about my background because there is NO WAY that someone born into that sort of privilege would walk away from it all because of what he believes in. Funny because many of these people profess Christianity,” he wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning.
Speaking further, he said,
“The entire basis of the Christian faith is that the Son of God came down from heaven to die for humans and so humans should strive to emulate him.Now here I am, a mere unbeliever doing something as little as what I do (certainly not dying for anyone), and they’re like:
“You people only profess those religions because your parents did. Not because you genuinely believe.Just show some moral consistency and intellectual honesty and there’s a 100% possibility that you’re significantly more “Christ-like” than most Nigerian “Christians.””
