Nigerians have taken to social media to react after Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the immediate past leader of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, on Sunday, October 30, blessed Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu had visited the elder statesman to present his 80-page manifesto and seek support as he pleads for support for his presidential ambition. Read more here.
Following the visit, several media platforms have reported that Pa Fasoranti and Afanifere have endorsed Tinubu for presidency for the 2023 election. This is despite the fact that the current leader of Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has come out to debunt that, saying that the Yoruba socio-political group maintains their support for the Labour Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on the account of fairness and equity.
