Gunmen attacked officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at Nkwo Ihitte (PU 004) in Amakohia Ward (RA 02) of Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State.
One official identified as Mr. Nwokorie Anthony, was shot dead during the attack while two other members of staff have been confirmed missing.
In the chilling videos shared online, the gunmen are heard warning that the attack is a message that they don’t want any election.
As everyone lay down on the floor, they shot the INEC official in the presence of kids who were there with their mothers.
