India is planning to ramp up its wheat exports to nearly 10mn tonnes next year.
Government sources reveal that multiple countries have already approached New Delhi for supplies, according to Bloomberg.
Supply disruptions because of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, known as Europe’s breadbasket, have triggered panic among wheat-importing nations.
India has so far exported 6.6mn tonnes of wheat in 2021-22, which is triple the 2.15 million tonnes exported in 2020-21.
