The Niger state governor, Abubakr Bello, received the 21 abducted travelers who were freed on Sunday, February 21 after being in captivity for several days.
The 21 passengers were abducted by the bandits, while traveling from Kontagora to Minna on 14 February.
It is not yet clear if the ransom were paid or the bandits freed them after negotiation.
