Zainab Gimba, the House of Representatives Member representing Bama, Ngala, Kala-Balge Federal Constituency of Borno State in the Green Chamber, impressed many on Thursday when she flagged off her Constituency Empowerment Schemes in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.
The ceremony had in attendance the Executive governor of the State, Prof. Babagana Zulum, his Deputy, APC State Chairman, National and State Assembly Members, Royal fathers, Elder statesmen, Commissioners, among other dignitaries.
The empowerment tools distributed include; 118 vehicles and 200 tricycles (Keke Napep) aimed to empower transporters, 800 Sewing machines to empower tailors and fashion designers, 400 grinding machines to empower local restaurant owners, and 492 water pumps to empower irrigation farmers.
At the Grand occasion, She also presented cheque worth of Millions of
Naira to four different families that lost their loved ones during her
electioneering campaigns.
Nigerians have been commending her since the photos were shared online. Many recounted how other House Members and Senators gave their constituents, Transistor radio, a bag of Orange, cartoon of Noodles, and other items considered ‘insulting’ as empowerment items.
