The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde, has resigned his appointment as he bid farewell to the administration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The SSG reportedly tendered his resignation letter on Monday morning.
He however refused to give any reason for quitting the administration of Governor Akeredolu.
Abegunde confirmed that he has quit his job at the Ondo State Government in a telephone chat with The Nation.
“I have left Akeredolu’s government through a resignation letter effective today,” he stated.
Abegunde said he would reveal more details on his resignation in a press conference later today.
Akeredolu’s Deputy, Ajayi Agboola, had earlier dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and pitched his tent with the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in preparation to possibly get the ticket to run against the governor.
