Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on Tuesday returned to the Senate following his release from prison.
Kalu resumed his duty as Chief whip of the Senate after six months at the Custodial centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Abuja.
Kalu was convicted in December, 2019 after his was found guilty of perpetuated fraud while he was governor of Abia state. He was released last week after the Supreme court annulled his trial and ordered a retrial weeks ago.
This morning, he was seen as he matched into the Red Chamber with Senate President Ahmad Lawan and other Principal officers.
The Senate President thereafter, officially welcomed the embattled Senator back to the Senate. Watch video below.
