Abba Kyari: FFK reacts to the report that an Aso Rock official has died

A formal minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to report that a high ranking official at the presidential villa, Abuja has died.

Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo had reported today that a top official in President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet has died of Covid-19 complications but the presidency seems unwilling to come out with the truth. She, however, didn’t mention the name of the official for ‘national security’ reasons.

It has been hours already since Kemi broke the news and no one in the President’s team has come out to deny or confirm it, leaving many Nigerians to conclude that the President’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari who tested positive for coronavirus might be the one who has died.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle, Femi Fani-Kayode who is a vocal critic of the Buhari-led government said. “It is not true that Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to @MBuhari, is dead.

FFK also added: “Those that are behind that rumour are vicious and heartless. I remain opposed to the @MBuhari admin. but to wish or proclaim someone dead simply because you disagree with him politically is unacceptable.”
