Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva has stated that the disqualified former deputy governor-elect of Bayelsa, Sen. Biobarakumo Degi is contemplating suicide.
Timipre Sylva who was a guest at Channels Television program (SUNRISE DAILY) on Monday was reacting to the Supreme Court ruling which upheld its earlier judgement of 13th February.
The former governor-elect, David Lyon and the All Progressives Congress had gone back to Supreme Court to seek a review and possible reversal of the Judgement that disqualified the Deputy Governor-elect Sen. Biobarakumo Degi due to multiple, unrelated names on his certificates.
Speaking on the decision of the Apex not to reverse itself, Sylva said;
“I am today, dealing with a Deputy Governor that is at the verge of committing suicide.
“Because, everyday i have to call, to be sure that he hasn’t done anything to himsel
“I have in my hands, somebody contemplating suicide”
