Nigerians woke up on February 1st to the exciting news that Manchester United had completed a loan move for Ex-Super Eagles striker, John Odion Ighalo from Chinese Shanghai Shenhua.

As the first Nigerian to be signed to the English Premier League giant, Nigerians have been supportive and rooting for him to excel at Man United. All the Man U games since the arrival of Ighalo have been of super interest to Nigerians. And his first goal during the Europa League game was celebrated by Nigerians worldwide, irrespective of the different clubs they support.

During an interview after his recent game, excited Ighalo told a reporter that Nigerians now support Manchester United because he is the first Nigerian to play for the club.

He also talked about how grateful he is that Nigerians in United Kingdom come to watch Man U games and wait outside of the stadium to meet him after a game.

In the video below, Ighalo is seen shaking and thanking some Nigerian fans who waited to see him and gave them the opportunity to take selfies with him.
