Just in: Gov Abiodun, AIG pays visit to family of slain footballer in Sagamu

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday morning paid a condolence visit to the family of the slain Remo Stars Football Club player, Tiyamiyu ‘Kaka’ Kazeem in Sagamu.

The governor who came with the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Peter Ogunyanwo and others assured the family of justice without delay.

He said: “The killer of the slain footballer was not on duty and does not belong to the state patrol team.

On his part, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Peter Ogunyanwo said the police command is on top of the issue, while he ensured that justice will be served.

“I came in very late yesterday night to make sure that this issue is addressed without delay,” he said.

Recall that in the wake of the violence that rocked Sagamu on Monday, the Inspector General of Police had ordered the AIG to take over the investigation and unravel what led to the death of the late footballer.
