A Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, on Friday, December 13, 2019, restrained the Nigerian police and other security agencies from arresting Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in connection with the recent Oraifite mayhem.
Hon. Justice Quadri of court No 2 of the Federal High court ordered all the security agencies mentioned as Respondents in Ejiofor’s fundamental rights suit to maintain status quo in the matter with a warning not to arrest him pending the hearing and determination of the Originating Motion On Notice.
