Media personality and famous drama queen, Afia Schwarzenegger has ridiculed men who are quick to call a lady ‘ashawo’, the local word for a prostitute.
According to her, men rush to use the derogatory word whenever they feel threatened or intimidated by the achievement of the woman that they feel calling her a prostitute will diminish her.
So, to her, a woman should be congratulated when men call her ashawo because in 2019, it means you are far more successful and they are intimidated.
Afia also advised men whose intention is to insult a woman to be creative because that word no longer hurt women.
She wrote: “Ashawo in 2019 means : congratulations you are a very successful hard working female entrepreneur !!!!
