OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY OWELLE ROCHAS OKOROCHA, THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE.
YOUR EXCELLENCY,
THE NEED TO ENSURE THAT ACTION ALLIANCE WINS SOME SEATS IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS IN IMO STATE. THIS WILL GO A LONG WAY IN ENSURING THE REALIZATION OF UGWUMBA UCHE NWOSU’S GOVERNORSHIP AMBITION.
The political scene in Imo state calls for concern amongst patriotic Imolites especially as we approach the general elections. Many political analysts and pundits have predicted how shocking the outcome of Imo governorship election will be owing to the fact that some of the major contestants can be adjudged to have strong and formidable grass root supporters.
As events unfold, variables to truly facilitate the correct prediction of Imo governorship election begins to be clear as it has shown that the forth coming election is going to be keenly contested amongst Ugwumba Uche Nwosu of Action Alliance and that of the APC governorship candidate.
While I narrow this write-up to the two top most contenders of Imo governorship election, I do not rule out the possibility of victory of the other grass root oriented contenders like Evang. Myke Ikoku of YDP, Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume of APGA, Ikedi Ohakim of Accord, amongst others.
One of the variables that can make political pundits predict rightly on who can comfortably win the governorship position in Imo will be the winner of Owerri Senate seat. While the major candidates contesting for this are all advocates of president Buhari’s re-election, they have their backbone, support and loyalty to the governorship candidates of their party, despite pledging loyalty to you Governor Rochas Okorocha.
The victory of the APC senatorial candidate of Owerri and Okigwe zones will greatly puncture the governorship victory of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the Action Alliance governorship candidate of Imo state because they have pledged to work for their party, though enjoys your support, Governor Okorocha.
Your Excellency Sir, the making of Ugwumba as the governor of Imo state starts with his party producing NASS members, e. g. Senator to represent Owerri zone amongst other positions in the national assembly. It is glaring that Ugwumba’s ambition will be hard to actualize if his party do not win the senatorial seat of Owerri Zone. This is because the victory of Action Alliance will boost Ugwumba’s support and portray him as the man with capacity to deliver, whom he truly is.
Your Excellency sir, if the APC Owerri Senatorial candidate is allowed to emerge, the credit of his victory will virtually go to his party, the APC governorship candidate whom he has secretly pledged his support, thereby boosting and enhancing the chances of the APC governorship candidate winning the election and truncating that of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.
Sir, now that this conspiracy has been discovered, it becomes expedient to save Imo people from this looming doom, and support all Action Alliance Candidates for the national assembly positions especially Imo east Senatorial seat.
