“Today, we discharged a 98-year-old woman, our oldest #COVID19 patient in Lagos,” Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu tweeted.
The 98-year-old woman, Sanwo-Olu said, was discharged alongside 25 other persons.
The governor said 25 others are 13 males and 12 females, discharged from isolation centres after testing negative for #COVID19.
The newly discharged patients bring the total of coronavirus patients discharged in Lagos to 528.

Sanwo-Olu urged Lagos residents to sustain the guidelines of social distancing, wearing face mask, using alcohol-based hand sanitizers and avoid mass gathering to prevent further spread of the disease.
“As our frontline health workers continue to sacrifice and push through, let us play our roles by following the public health guidelines, observing physical distancing and wearing our face masks,” Sanwo-Olu said.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time a patients of over 90 years has shocked many to survive the dreaded coronavirus disease.
A 95-year-old Italian woman named Alma Clara Corsini also made a full recovery from Covid-19 in March. Doctors said she recovered without the need for antiviral treatment after her body showed a “great reaction” to the disease.
